Gohr Ebonwisp was brought into Grimwood's world, wrapped in shadow magic. Though his journey begins when he is a baby, the Queen of Duaramar will stop at nothing, until she can collect him for her own personal gain. Young Gohr finds himself being escorted to a Shadow Stride encampment, where he can be safe under the guise of savages. Though, as he grows older within the Shadow Stride, life begins to take a turn as camps have been burned to the ground. Who better to blame than the freak who holds a talent for magic?Forced to witness the murder of his mentor, bound and hopeless, and a bounty now pinned against him, Gohr Ebonwisp is faced with no other choice than to head south to Bridgewater University with hopes of learning more about his talent for magic and for more allies. Little does Gohr know, Bridgewater has its own secrets.
